Web Hampers: terms and conditions for purchase of wine, food and gift hampers.

Thank you for considering purchasing a food hamper, wine hamper or gift hamper (or a combination of these hampers!) from Web Hampers. We would like to draw your attention to our terms and conditions as set out below. They enable us to provide all our customers with a smooth and efficient service.

WEB HAMPERS .COM (specialist hamper retailers to public and corporate)

This site is the online trading division of Web Hampers. This means that if paying by credit/debit card our company name will be shown as "Web Hampers" on your card statement.

PAYMENT/CONFIDENTIALITY

WORLDPAY / PayPal

We use WorldPay and PayPalfor our payment processing for debit and credit cards. WorldPay is a leading e-Commerce payment provider and part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. All communications between our customers and WorldPay/PayPal are securely encrypted and can only be processed by WorldPay/PayPal. When you make a payment on our web site via WorldPay/PayPal Web Hampers does not have access of any kind to your card details. By using the services of WorldPay/PayPal for card processing Web Hampers is PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant for your added protection. We accept American Express, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB, Visa credit, Visa Electron, Visa debit and Solo cards.

If there is any concern about ordering on-line then we are happy to take orders over the telephone. Simply call Web Hampers on 01588 638888 and ask for Sales. All card processing for phone orders is PCI-DSS compliant. No card details are stored in any way for your protection.

Web Hampers do not supply information given to us by our customers to any other person or company. We comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, the SafeBuy web trader Code of Practice and the Distance Selling Regulations 2000.

We will not contact our customers for marketing or promotional purposes without their permission.

ALCOHOL

Please note that under the Licensing Act 1964 it is an offence for someone under 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating drinks, or for adults to buy or attempt to buy on their behalf. The maximum penalty is a fine of £1000. Some of the products offered for sale on this site contain intoxicating drinks. In accepting these terms and conditions, if you are purchasing products that contain intoxicating drinks, you are confirming that you are over the age of 18 and legally allowed to purchase alcoholic drinks and that they are not being sent to anyone under the age of 18.

DELIVERY

Web Hampers are pleased to offer a FREE delivery service to most parts of mainland UK for its food, gift and wine hampers, and other products.

Please note: Despatches are made Monday to Friday but not on Saturdays or Sundays. This free service takes 2-3 working days from despatch.See UK postcodes that are excluded from Free Delivery

For those occasions where speedy delivery of your order is of the essence a Next (Working) Day service is available for a charge of only £4. (Working Days do not include weekends or Bank Holidays!)

We also offer a Saturday morning delivery service (delivery pre 12 noon) for £19.95.

Hamper Orders for Next Day delivery (or Saturday AM Delivery where Saturday AM has been specified) should be placed by 2pm at the latest to allow time for processing your order, however we will always try to accommodate later requests where possible for next day orders.

For the avoidance of doubt:

Despatches are made Monday to Friday only.
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday, unless Saturday AM delivery option is selected.
Next Day Deliveries must be ordered by 2pm the day before delivery.

A Next Day delivery placed AFTER 2pm on a Thursday will be despatched for delivery on the Monday

A Saturday AM delivery can be placed up to 2pm on a Friday for delivery on the Saturday AM

If it is at all possible we will endeavour to pack and despatch Next Day/Saturday AM orders received after 2pm on the same day but this cannot be guaranteed,

As proof that the customer has received a hamper a signature is required. If there is no one at the delivery address, a card will be left asking the intended recipient to contact the carrier company directly and arrange a mutually convenient delivery time. If delivery is unsuccessful a second time, or the customer fails to contact the carrier within 2 days, then the hamper will be returned to Web Hampers and a second charge for delivery may be made at our discretion before the hamper can be despatched again.

Web Hampers will endeavour to despatch all orders on time to ensure delivery in the timescale specified, however we cannot be held responsible for non delivery or delayed delivery due to insufficient or incorrect details submitted by the customer. To avoid any such problem, please make sure all address details are correct and provide a contact telephone number for the recipient so that the carrier can contact them if the need arises.

When a hamper has been received and signed for it will be deemed by Web Hampers that all contents are present. In the unlikely event of any shortfall of the hamper contents please notify us within 3 days of receipt of the hamper and quote the Packing Code located on the Packing List which is included in all of our hampers.

SUBSTITUTIONS

We will always try to send the hampers exactly as described on our website, however we reserve the right to substitute items to the same or greater value if an availability issue on one or more product lines has occurred.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

Cancellation of an order must be notified in writing by e-mail or fax within 7 working days following receipt of a hamper.

Under The Distance Selling Regulations Act The Customer has a duty of care while the goods are in their possession. In the event of a cancelled order, it is the recipient's responsibility to repack the hamper in a suitable way for safe transportation and return it to Web Hampers. Customers are responsible for delivery charges back to Web Hampers unless otherwise agreed. Refunds are made within 30 days of notification of cancellation to the card used for purchase payment.

All items should be returned in a condition reflecting the Duty of Care of the product(s) requirement of the Customer. Any items that do not reflect this Duty of Care will not be refunded.

Once a refund has been processed the Customer will be notified by email that this has been done.

We regret that bespoke hampers which have been made to a customer's specification are non-refundable (subject to Statutory Rights).

DAMAGED GOODS

Our hampers are packed in such a way that they are suitable for travelling through multiple handling depots of carriers. However if any contents of our hampers are damaged on receipt please notify us within 48 hours of delivery in writing by fax or e-mail.

Damaged contents should be returned to us suitably packaged quoting the Packing Code and Packer's name located on the Packing List which is included in all of our hampers and we will then refund or replace the item(s) concerned upon receipt and inspection.

EMAIL ENQUIRY RESPONSE POLICY

It is the policy of Web Hampers to respond to email enquiries within 1 working day of receipt of the enquiry.

PRIVACY POLICY

Web Hampers do not disclose buyers' information to third parties as detailed in our Terms and Conditions. Cookies are only used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Data collected by this site is only used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

While we make every effort to fulfill our orders with all expediency, occasions may arise when this may not be possible due to circumstances outside our control such as - but not limited to - Acts of God, Acts of Government, Fire, Flood, Labour Disputes, Lockouts, Drought, Strike or War, Explosion, Civil Disturbance, Technical failures with power transmission, telecommunications and information technology.

ORDER ACCEPTANCE

Where we suspect a fraudulent attempt to obtain goods from us we will decline the order. We may ask for further evidence of proof of identity and card holder billing residence where necessary as well.

DEEMED ACCEPTANCE

By purchasing a hamper from Web Hampers you have indicated your acceptance of the terms and conditions as set out above.
